Stark Mersea is a fantastic restaurant that has recently opened its doors in Mersea Island, Essex. 

 

Ben & Sophie have relocated from Thanet, bringing their Michelin-starred restaurant with them. Previously being one of the only four Michelin-starred restaurants in Kent, a meal really is something to remember. Stark offers a frequently changing six course tasting menu in a very intimate and relaxed environment, making for a unique dining experience. 

 

We loved photographing the stunning interior, smiley staff and quirky finishing touches. Some of the key words we looked at when planning this shoot included - "fine dining, laid back, dark, quirky, quality, relaxed, special, seasonal, unique". We created a shot list based on our brief and enjoyed using a mixture of natural light and flash photography to bring out the atmosphere we were aiming for.
